That elegant head moves the targets out of the poking path, and
he stood. 6'5 if he was an inch, he radiated threat. He looked
at Haro in scorn. "Why, little boy? Because she's yours?" The
demon laughed softly at him.
"I'll look at her as I want to. You haven't figured it out yet,
and that is delightful." He looked at Kaya, and his voice
softened sdeuctively. "You have not told him, have you?"Kaya
could do more more than shake her head. "Interesting. Let's see
how this plays out. Did you mean to?" He asked her. She shook
her head to the negative again.

haro was far from intimidated. he was about to growl a reply
when he started talking to kaya. haro looked back at her
confused. "tell me...?"

Kaya looked at him, her eyes guilty. She cleared her throat
softly, while she tried to fight her own unease. "Yes. I haven't
told you about what might happen now that you drank my blood."
Her voice got smaller and smaller. She was looking in his eyes,
but her body trembled.

All it took was that one reminder. The memory of that blood on
his tongue came pouring back. He'd tasted her. Her mouth, her
skin, her sweat, her pleasure and her blood. All of it entwined,
and the memory of those things brought him to his knees. But her
blood, the thought of it flooded his senses.
He'd find himself lost for long moments in the memory, coming
back to himself to find that he'd knelt in front of Kaya, nose
pressed to her. Like he'd followed his nose to the strongest
scent.
To his surprise, the demon looks nearly as desperate as he
himself is. It's in those golden eyes. Kaya looks alittle
shaken, and a lot aroused. She's trying to stutter the words and
failing miserably, until she spits them out in a rush.
"Mybloodisaddictive." It came out as one word.

when haro came to, the words registered to him. he looked up at
her, still kneeling before her. "... addictive..." he repeated,
mostly to make himself understand.

"Yes, addicting." Came the demon's dry and patronizing tone
behind him. "You'll crave it now, if you go too long without
your fix. She's ours, now. It won't go well if we don't get our
need met. Looks like I may have to work with you. Because I want
time with the little siren, as well. If we can share, neither
has to be without. But, I get the feeling you won't agree to
that."
The demon rolled his eyes. "You'll make this difficult, and
it'll take far too long. It's how you've always been." The demon
fell silent, shaking his head with a sigh.

haros eyes shone a bright blue and he glared at the demon,
raising to his feet. "'we'? 'our'?" he growled. "fuck that! i
will not allow your filth anywhere near her!" haro moved in a
position between her and the monster.

The demon shook his head. "Yes. So predictable. So stubbornly
against having anything to do with me. If you'd let this happen,
and let the two of us work together, I wouldn't be a threat to
her.
I'd be willing to make a compromise, and you'd be stronger. Both
of us could work to protect our little demi goddess. After all,
neither of us want her dead, do we?" The demon asked, but
continued on without an answer. It was foregone conclusion, at
this point.
"You wouldn't need to be so worried that you'll hurt her, I'll
have something I want, and we'll be happy. Besides, then she
wouldn't need to bind me in these chains, using her lifeforce to
do it. That could go back to her." The demon pulled that last
dirty trick out, and threw it down like an ace in the hole. He
knew his audience well.

haro was about to snap at the demon again, but the last
statement got at him. he turned again to kaya, looking for
confirmation.
