Black Fog

Where the fog is dense and black. This area is where the dark
energy of spirits seems to reside. A new spirit may find itself
eaten or changed here.

In the midst of the black fog a decadent spirit stirred from
it's deep slumber by command of the god's first stage of
reawakening. This soul soon realizes that he is not alone.
Ancient companions that lost their lives along side him spring
forth as well, glowing dully, their inner light dim and fading
as well as his.
As spirits they do not need to speak. Their mission resonates
between them. They drift forward.
out of the dense black fog.

As Mika was being dragged down she struggled against the
tentacles. She started to panic, yelling for the others. She
tried to get her sword arm loose.

Kaya appears quickly beside Mika. Now was the truly wonderous
thing. The empath wrapped her arms around the struggling girl.
Wind whipped around Mika's ears, sheltering them from the coming
soundwave.
Kaya shrieked with her siren's voice, shattering the tentacles
taking the girl. She did, however, continue to move forward,
toward the fog. But it would be at her will, not the will of
whatever was trying to pull at her.
That shriek would echo through even that Fog. It gave a warning
that she would not be forced here.

Mika looked up at Kaya with a grateful look in her eyes. "Thank
you." she whispered.

As the group neared the fog, the black fog began to slowly
expand towards them, surrounding them and then engulfing them in
it's darkness. Crimson eyes drifted before them then faded. They
heard malicious laughter and blood curdling screams. The
sensations hands creeping up their arms and legs, reaching and
tugging on their clothes and hair.

She looked down at the girl, briefly smiling. "I said I'd get
you through this. I meant it." With a wave of her hand, she
brought Shinkaru level with the two of them. "No matter what, we
stay together. We can't afford to have more of the team split
off." There's little denying that Kaya is pissed right now.
"Looks like we're going into that Fog. Keep your eyes peeled.
Mika, see if you can't get a rotating field of that energy. Make
it move like a whirlwind around us. I'll add a bit of my own
flavor behind it." The air began flowing at swift speeds in a
large area around them. Those winds could cut, and would if
given provocation.

Mika nodded at Kaya to address her comment about staying
together. Her eyes darted around at the glowing eyes, she tried
to brush the hands she felt on her clothes and hair away.
At Kaya's request she focused her dark energy aura to be a
whirling shield around the remaining members of the group. "We
need to keep moving I think."

Kaya nodded. "That's what I'd be thinking. We need to find what
is holding the missing students, where they are, and figure out
how to free them."
