Yukio slid to a stop when he found Freya. "Freya, what the hell

The spirit laughed heartily. "That witch aint gettin this book."
He disappeared from the spot he sat at and reappeared farther
away and continued to do so until he was out of sight.

"Damn it." she swore under her breath and looked over at Yukio,
"Sorry Yuki-chan to bail on the mission but I need to get this
book." she said and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "I'll
catch up with you guys after I finish my mission." she added and
took off running in the mans direction.

As the two progressed further through the boarder the shrine
disappeared completely in the distance as if it were never
there. They were in a field of tall dead grass. They were
surrounded by orbs of light which transformed into people all
walking in the same direction, at the same pace, with the same
listless eyes staring ahead.

She slowed down to a stop and looked at the people, she took the
necklace out her shirt frowning when she felt the buzzing had
died down. "I've lost Kuei." she said with a sigh. She tucked
the necklace back and began walking after the people.

to the others Yuki-chan. Kaya-san will be upset that you've
left." she said.

The spirits all traversed in the same direction. Each row
disappearing into the horizon. As the pair made their way
through them they bumped into one of the spirits. This spirit
stopped in his tracks even as Yukio and Freya continued to pass
him. His dead eyes swayed from ahead and locked onto Yukio and
Freya. His lips moved, but no sound came out.
The same began to happen all around in each row. Spirit's
stopping in their tracks, staring, whispering silence.
