Knowing her fire wouldn't work well against the attack she sank
down into the shadows and came back out on the other side of the
room, "Shadow magic would be my second ability." she said the
teacher and grinned.

my point of the exercise was to demonstrate the difficulty of
fighting an Astral being with elemental magic. Astral beings
can be bound with black magic or exorcised with white magic.
Still we will exist and find a way to escape and return. Astral
magic is the only way to harm or destroy an astral being. The
only way to cast Astral magic is to call upon the power of a
more powerful astral being." She flew to the girls face. "Tell
me. Do you believe in God?"

She tilted her head a bit and frowned, "Well considering my
father's choice career I try not to bind myself with religion.
If something is out there, then its out there, not bothering me
so no need to think about it." she explained and rubbed the back
of her head.

"Well, they do. Whether they created this world I cannot say for
certain, but they exist somewhere perhaps in the astral plane or
sealed somewhere on this planet. To use their abilities through
astral magic to combat an astral being would require a spell
that taps into that Astral beings power. You can attain these
spells through books, scrolls, etc. written by a certain 'gods'
followers. If you share a body with a certain astral being than
spells are not required to use their magic. Your spells are most
potent when you are contracted to a particular divine being, but
once contracted your soul is bound to that entity." She looked
up at the clock. "Looks like classes are almost done. Any
questions my dear?"

She crossed her arms and thought it over, "No, I don't have any
questions Ms. Sita, but if I think of any I will be sure to ask
you." she said, happy with all that she learned today about
various magics.

mumbled, grinning she hurried out the classroom forgetting about
Tabe.
