A field of grass under a beautiful night sky.

Miles walked here and sat on the field. He looked up at the sky
and took a bite of his cotton candy. "It's a nice night,
tonight." He said, smiling, laying back on the grass and closing
his eyes.

Miles sighed as he began to sing a song that he remember.
"Donna toki datte, Zutto futari de, Donna toki datte, Soba ni
iru kara" He looked up into the sky and closed his eyes again.

Miles woke up screaming, his body covered in sweat. He closed
his eyes and re-opened them to see if he was really awake. He
looked up at the sky, then at himself. He had a dream that he
had to fight the demon that he had freed. The dream didn't end
up well, which was why he woke up screaming. He cursed himself
and swung away, still cursing.

A midnight picnic. That's what he had planned. Miles spread out
a picnic blanket, the basket, with various Asian foods inside of
them. He had plates and silverware, and had a carton of tea that
he had bought. After all was done, he made a smile of approval
and swung away, knowing that no one would touch it.

Miles jumped down to the field, placing Kaya gently on the
blanket. He sat next to her and looked up at the night sky.

She looked at the picnic set up, there underneath the stars. And
was struck speechless. She touched the blanket, looked at the
stars, before her eyes drifted back down to settle on Miles. The
girl has no idea how to react or what to say. She whispered
softly. "Thank you. It's beautiful." But that seemed like
tossing peanuts at a treasure. She's dumbfounded.

Miles smiled as she spoke. "I tried to make it as quiet as
possible, I know how you get in crowded areas." He said,
slipping his hand into hers.

She moved closer, letting their hands rest together. She nodded
her head slightly. "Crowds were the reason that I spent so much
of my first three years here being tutored privately. I had to
learn how to control myself. So many highly emotional people in
one place is a nightmare when you can't block them out." She
squeezed his hand, silently thankful he'd known that.
Her brow furrowed slightly. How had he known that? Her brow
relaxed as she dismissed it. He was a perceptive man. It wasn't
hard to figure out that putting an empath in a roomful of people
wouldn't be a relaxing thing for them. "I'm glad you're
perceptive. It makes it easy to be with you."
She smiled at him sweetly, already enjoying the night and all
he'd done was be mindful of her comfort. "You like Asian food
too? The spicier, the better to me."

Miles smiled and pointed to his head with his thumb. "The spider
sense helps. When my mom and dad would train me, after the took
me from the lab, they would only communicate with me through
actions. They refused to talk to me, to help me acknowledge my
surroundings. Being perceptive isn't all it's cracked up to be.
It has its falters. I overhear things that I really don't want
to her. I mean, the only reason that I know that my mother used
me as a lab expiriment is because I heard my aunt talking about
it.." He said, looking at the ground. "I like Asian food. Really
spicy stuff." He said, smiling. "I have a couple of things that
I made here... Tom Yum soup, which is a shrimp soup with herbs.
It has healthy qualities. There's chicken curry, and Laska, a
spicy noodle soup with Lemongrass and coconut." He said,
smiling, hoping she would like it.
