The Lake

A beautiful lake, surrounded by trees and flowers it has a
calming atmosphere.

Mika slowly materialized out of the shadows. "Ugh," she said,
"This is still harder to do than fly. I'll just fly back when
im done." She stretched her wings out, and looked at the lake.
It was really pretty here she thought to herself. She decided
to lie in the field with her wings fully outstretched. She
closed her eyes and hummed to herself.

Mika woke up in the grass. "Oops, i must have fallen asleep
here." she muttered to herself. She stood up and stretched.
Noticing a bush of black rasberries ion the edge of the woods,
she walked over and picked a good sized handful. Popping one in
her mouth she savored its natural sweetness. "I guess i should
practice moving through shadows more." she sighed and
disappeared into a shadow.

Freya landed softly on the ground, her wings folded onto her
back as she walked towards the lake. Soon enough Anilese formed
beside her and sat down on the ground, "So I should be able to
just walk atop the water?" Freya asked and looked to her.
Anilese nodded, "Just trust the water to keep you afloat and it
will." she instructed. Nodding she turned back towards the
water, she kicked off her shoes and socks and went towards the
waters edge. Freya took a calming breath as she placed her foot
atop the waters surface, feeling it begin to sink in she pulled
her foot back and frowned.
After a few moments of contemplating she concentrated on
controlling the water. Stepping out to the water again she
smiled when her foot sank down a bit but still allowed her to
walk across the water without completely falling in.

Mika landed on one of the solid branches of a tall tree on the
side of Lake. She minimized her wings and leaned up against the
trunk of the tree. She focused on releasing her energy in a
controlled manner. First she conjured a large ball of dark
energy. She let it hover right above her hand. She tossed it
ahead a bit, watching it fall towards the ground, she focused
and brought it back to her. She let it dissipate back into her
aura. After that she tried to see how well she could manipulate
the aura. She knew there was a berry bush right below her, so
she thought towards is and picked a few with the aura.

After an hour of sitting in the tree surrounded by swirling dark
energy, Mika realized that she was starting to feel tired from
experimenting with her power. She decided to head back to her
room to move into the house.

Mika wandered back to the lake again. She found it really
peaceful here. Her match would likely be coming up soon, so she
decided a little practice was a good choice. She she pulled out
her swords and felt its energy flow through her. She decided to
see if she could sync her dark energy with the swords natural
energy. A few seconds later she could feel the connection. The
sword almost seemed to pulse in her hands.
She took to the sky and worked on some swordsmanship techniques
with the energy infused sword. After a half an hour of sword
practice she put it away and focused on energy attacks for
another 20 minutes. Firing them and recalling them, she
certainly didn't want to damage anything here, but it was easier
to work here by herself.
After she finished that she was tired enough so she faded into a
shadow and headed home.

Mika landed softly in a tree overlooking the lake. She rested
her head on a branch and wrapped her wings around her as if to
shield herself from the cold. However the cold she was feeling
wasn't coming from the world around her, it was coming from
inside. She was still scared over what happened in the arena
yesterday. I really need to apologize to Mechi she sighed. She
played it over and over in her head trying to figure out exactly
where she lost control. It was after Mechi had gotten back up.
Was it her that did that or something else, she couldn't tell.
She remembered everything about it, but at the time she had no
control over what she was doing.
She cried softly and thought of Shinji. I love him so much, but
he should probably hate me after what I did. This only made her
cry more. She hid in the tree and just let herself cry.
