Rina smiled and sat down beside her. Other than her family, she
always felt alone. She didn't have many friends. People would
often label her as weird and strange. This place was different.
Once she found her sister, maybe she'd stay. This place
certainly had more to offer than what was back home.
"It is nice to meet someone who understands" Rina said happily.
She wrapped the string holding her skrying crystal around her
neck, tying it to make a necklace for easy access. Her fingers
ran over the rune, tracing it before handing it back. "My name
is Sabrina Halliwell, but I usually just go by Rina."

Kaya smiled at the girl. "I'm Kaya Mitsume. Most just call me
Kaya. You're very new here, right? Are you a first year?" Kaya
wrapped the scrying mirror up. She had no desire to see this
girl's secrets before she was ready to tell. The mirror was good
at that. Or bad at it, depending on the opinion.
She let the girl drop the rune back into the bag. She was tying
the drawstring around the top when she spoke again. "My Rose
Quartz likes you. You're fairly positive. That's good for an
empath like me." Kaya waited with a drawn in breath for the
reaction of the other girl. Most people hated hearing something
like that. Kaya couldn't blame them.

Rina thought for a moment. If she did decide to stay here, she
would probably be a first year. "Uh, yeah in a sense" she said
laughing. "I really just came here to meet someone... but I
really like it here so far so I think I'll stay." When Kaya said
she was an empath, Rina's face lit up. "I thought there was
something really interesting about you! I've never met a empath
       before." She smiled at her.

Surprise smoothed over Kaya's face. No one ever reacted that way
when they found out her power. Everyone else treated her like a
freak or wondered if she read their mind. Between the empath
abilities and her natural intuition, she was able to puzzle most
things out. It still led to hissed accusations and hurtful
       words.
"I hope you stay. You seem like someone I could really get along
with. I haven't met many others who know the runes. Do you ever
use tarot?" She looked at Rina, a happy smile curving her lips.
"I really hope that most people are smart enough to let you tell
your secret in your own time."

Rina smiled happily. She had never felt wanted before. "I hope
so too" Rina said. "I just hope everything goes well... You
know, I've never really tried tarot. I find them very
interesting though." Rina sighed softly. "I really hope they
are. This is something I've been working up the courage for a
       long time now."

Kaya nudged the girl. "It'll work out. Just give it time. I
think Jizero will stay quiet about it. And I won't say anything.
You wanna room with me? I figure you can settle in, since it
seems like enough people will leave you be. And my room is
really good for those with any psychic sensitivity." Kaya pulled
out one of her decks, a basic Rider Waite deck.
"This is the first deck I ever learned to use. They always say
that decks should be gifted to you. I have near to a dozen of
them, and all of mine have been gifts. If you ever want to
learn, I can totally help you out. Here." She handed the deck to
Rina. "Open it and pull a card at random. Let's see what they
       think of you."
The vibrations of the deck are actually very neutral. Niether
light, nor dark, they sat in a balance. Much like the coin of
Lady Fate and Lady Death. Same coin, two sides only separated by
       mere millimeters.

"That would be great" Rina said letting out a sigh of relief.
"I've just been sleeping outside because I don't have anywhere
to go yet..." She smiled at Kaya. She gladly accepted the deck
from Kaya. "Thank you." She set them down the way her parents
had tried to teach her and pulled a card to look at. She showed
it to Kaya. "The High Priestess?"

Kaya nodded. "I had a feeling you'd pull the one. The female
equivalent to the Magus, the High Priestess is the symbol of the
mystery of the divine feminine. The arcane, the Wise Woman. She
is woman without a child. So, typically either the maiden aspect
or the crone. The mother aspect of a woman is strictly held by
       the Empress.
You're a woman of psychic prowess, knowledge of what lies beyond
the veil, and you hold the ability to wield such a thing." Kaya
doesn't need to ask whether this is true or not. Her cards never
       lie.
With a shift of topic, she smiles gently. "Mi casa es su casa,
little sister." She shrugged and by way of explanation. "You
just have that younger sibling feel to me. I don't tend to
       question it."

Rina nodded as Kaya explained the card. When she called her
little sister, Rina smiled and happiness flooded her. I came
here looking for a big sister, and in a sense I found one, she
thought to herself. "I guess it's really okay that I'm not ready
for what I came here to do" she said. "And you just help me
decide, I am going to stay here after all."
