A mishap [open-ish, library, night]

Mika's head hurt. Everything was swirling around since she had
met back up with Shinji. She had originally planned on avoiding
him so she didn't hurt him again, but that didn't seem like it
was going to work anymore. Sighing she wandered aimlessly
through the shelves, ending up in the restricted section without
even realizing it. Figuring she could pick up a book to read
and ease her mind, she grabbed whatever was closest to her and
headed back to the reading area. The markings on the book
looked old and intricate, and she smiled. She had always loved
to read. Curling up in a chair under a blanket in the corner
she opened the book. Seeing markings she didn't recognize, she
squinted her eyes trying to read the strange markings. Watching
the markings swirl to the point that she seemed to be able to
read them, she spoke the words aloud.
As she strained to read and speak the words her head began to
hurt. Rubbing her temple she tried to get the pain to stop.
However with each passing second it got more and more intense.
The book fell to the floor as her body jerked in pain. Closing
her eyes shut she wrapped those black wings of hers around
herself and curled up on the chair. Kneading at the temple with
her padded fingers. Groaning loudly as the pain spread through
her body, she bit back a scream. "What....is going on." She
got out broken words before her world blacked out. A dark glow
encased the angel, before fading away. A small bit of movement
could be seen under the blanket.

Shinji walked into the restricted area to return the books he
'borrow'. Setting the books back he heard the sound of something
hitting the ground." Hello? Anyone in here?"

In the corner of the library the book hits the floor and closes
itself. In the chair light noises can be heard, the blanket
moves softly as if something is trying to escape.

Shinji looked at the moving blanket and sloy walked to it, his
heart beat slowly increasing with each step. When he was over
the blanket he swear the someone across the room could he his
heart beat he pulled the blanket off the chair.

As he pulled the blanket back what he saw was surprising. Under
the blanket a small kitten had become tangled in the blanket.
As it was moved its claw was caught in it spinning her around to
face him. The kitten couldn't have looked much older than a few
weeks to maybe two months. Its fur was midnight black, but the
eyes were the most interesting thing. One silver eye and one
icy blue eye stared back at the boy. Stretching lightly as if
it was sore, its tail flicked back and forth as it mewed softly.

Shinji looked at the kitten and sighed."hello? Who ever is here
you left your cet..." shinji looked around expecting someone
come. When no came he looked at the cat."so im geussing you cant
talk right?"

The little kitten starred at him and tilted her head softly.
After a moment the kitten tried to shake its head and stand up.
Her body ached, everything was sore, and she tried to jump from
the chair, and crashed down on the floor. It looked like she
might be hurt, maybe like a sprained ankle as she jumped, but
Mika actually had assumed she had wings and was very surprised
to find out otherwise. She mewed softly from the ground looking
cutely confused and aggravated.

Shinji chuckled as he watched the kitten jump off the chair."
Aww.. your not a bird your a kitten a very cute one at that."

The kitten looked up at Shinji eyes wide and confused,
stretching her back still trying to find her wings. She arched
her back before sitting down, starring at shinji. Her tail
flicked about as she pawed at her head. As her paw hit her ears
she jumped a bit, looking back at her kitten form.

Shinji watched the kitten, but notice the book next to her and
pick it up." Geez... Why would some leave a transformation book
out... wait this is dead languge someone read this.." shinji put
the book book back but made a mental note wear it was.
" So kitten do you have a collar?" Shinji said as he pick it up
and looked at it neck.
