There was an innocent ghost named Jasper. Everywhere he went bad
luck followed him. Poor ghost. He never caught a break in life
either. He was innocently walking or gliding by, when.....

he saw a black cat (cats can see ghosts).
"hi. my name is Night Time. what's yours?" he asked the ghost.
"Jasper."
"are you lost?"
"yes. i just wander."
"i used to do that until a kindly woman fed me. now i have a
home."
Night Time invited the ghost to the house.

They laid on the porch together sharing stories and getting to
know each other. Night Time was getting worried his human mom
wasn't at home yet. He hoped she'd get home in time for supper.
He licked his paws when he suddenly heard a coyote in the
distance.

"oh, don't worry," said Night Time. "that's just Freddy. the
coyote. we're friends. we used to scavenge together."
"i guess since i'm just thin air i shouldn't be afraid," laughed
Jasper.
Night Time and Jasper laughed hysterically.
Freddy overheard the laughing and decided to pay a visit.

Freddy said, " Hey you clowns, what are you up to?" They told
him and he cracked up too. It was a jolly good fun time for
them. But suddenly a loud crash came from the sky. They all
turned to see what it was. Worried, they went to see what
happened. Freddy said, "Oh, that's just old Esmerelda, the
Witch. She fell on her rump again. Hitting that tree." Then they
all fell over laughing again.

Esmerelda was not amused.
"i'll teach them not to laugh," she said to herself.
she chanted something and took off on her broomstick, cackling.
suddenly, the threesome couldn't laugh anymore. no matter how
hard they tried, laughter would not come out of their mouths.

Freddy said, "At least we can talk but what the devil happened
there. Over their heads, the witch flew by and pointed down at
them hollering, "I got you my little pretties. That will teach
you to laugh at Esmerelda." hahaha Cackling all way to her hut
she had in the woods. Freddy replied, "Well, I'll be damned. She
is a menace. We have to get her back for this one. I hope we can
laugh in time and spell wears off." The others nodded in
agreement.

suddenly, a fairy godmother appeared.
"i'm Cherinabell, your fairy godmother," she said.
she was very beautiful. the threesome were taken aback.
Cherinabell waved her magic wand and said: "laugh!"
and they all laughed. they were so happy.

They were so grateful, the threesome pulled out a chair for her
and asked her to join them. She accepted grateful and glad to be
off her feet for awhile. Freddy asked, "What are you drinking?"
She answered happily, "Just gingerale, I'm working still." They
all laughed heartily again. She joined in. But they heard a loud
thump of footsteps storm in the join. They all turned to see
what giant came in. Cherinabell was ready if they needed help.
Ready to wave her magic wand.
