Danny woke up to hear a thump as the Witch fell to the ground.
He looked at Chip and nodded thanks. Danny said to Chip, "Let's
take off." Chip agreed and they ran out into the woods. Suddenly
they found they were lost. But heard the owl hooting at a
distance.

the witch came to and saw that danny was gone. she thought
jasper bashed her over the head with the sledge hammer. but how
could a ghost do that? all they are is thin air.

The witch searched for her crystal ball. "Now, where did i put
it?" she said.
"Aaah, here it is, under that pizza box " :)
So, they ran into the woods while i was unconscious.....

the owl knew chip and danny were lost. so it flew up to a tree
nearby.
'i will lead you out of the woods', it hooted.
'oh, thank you, kind owl," said danny.
'likewise," said chip.
the witch saw all that in her crystal ball.

Cackling, she hollered with a whine, "I'll get you my pretty
Danny Boy." I'll get you still. Rubbing her fingers together,
she plotted in her crazy head what she'll do next. Meanwhile,
Chip and Yip, along with Danny were once again safe at home and
Danny's parents were home then too. And his bratty sister. Danny
thought, "Boy, my little sister, what a pain in my butt."

That was a nice coffee i brewed , she said :)
That's an idea. I'll put some poison in it and get Danny to
drink it . She cackled with delight.

danny and chip and yip went hiking in the woods. then decided to
stop by the gingerbread house for a snack. the witch came out
and smiled broadly.
"i'm sorry for what my mean, awful sister did to you all. but
i'm different. come in for some nice hot coffee on this brisk
autumn day. and eat as much of the house as you like. i have
insurance."

Chip and Yip both looked at each other with worry on their
faces. They immediately smelled something fishy there at
gingerbread house. Something was way off. Too easy. Nudging
Danny, Yip turned and circled around and barked. Turned to
direction out of the woods. Urgently too. Danny got the message
and said, "No, but thank you for the invite. Maybe another time.
I have a dentist appt my mom wants to take me to. Gotta run.
Been a hoot." And they took off like a bat out of hell to get
out of there. Danny breathed a sigh of relief, and said, Whew,
that's a relief. Thanks Yip, you saved the day." Yip climbed
into his arms and licked his face all over.
