       Interesting question posted on another site....what do you

       "When picking off at first, what direction is the firstbaseman
       facing (towards the firstbase dugout or towards the runner
       leading off), what is the rationale (e.g. glove closer to tag,
       watching the runner), and what is the footwork technique
       utilized to get back (e.g. backpedal, crossover)? I always
       "assumed" that you would face the runner as opposed to a blind
       tag, but I have observed enough quality teams doing the opposite
       to make me wonder." Thanks.
