Chaps, can someone please advise what "speshul" bracketry I'll
need to mount this?

I would have thought the easiest option was to use a Dixon bate
slider system and swap between the 2 (ball and NATO) I think
there is a part to fit a NATO hitch to a civvy cross member but
I can't think what the part number is, will have a check in a
mo'.

Def go the Dixon bate root Paul ....gives you the height
adjustment AND the easy option to swap between hitches should
you need to ....They do crop up cheap if you arn't in a big
panic

You can engineer a box-section spacer with a load of hassle.
But I'd spunk some cash on Stuey's suggestion and give yourself
the changeability option.

I bolted mine to the Military front bumper I got for a fiver. 4
holes were already in it, and the strengthening bracket was
welded into it. It's an implement mounting officer..... and a
recovery point officer.... and a parking sensor. And a kneecaper
etc.

I made my own, take the drop plate off, drill 4 holes in the
middle to take the hitch, put bolts through from the back and
weld on, bolt the drop plate bavk on with some spacers to allow
for the bolt heads, fit hitch to plate. you cant fit a towball
without removing the hitch but it only takes a couple of mins.
Will take some pics tommorow if you want.
