       Hub oil seal?

       [LR SWB Series 3 1971]
I'd be grateful someone could clarify which hub seal to get. I
have found that some oil has got into the brake hub (in three
drums and the cause is a poor hub seal).
It seems there is a choice of what one can get as replacement so
       I am not sure.

       Plastic RTC3510/RTC3510G
       leather RTC3510G
       twin lip RTC3511/RTC3511G
I bought 217400 from a supplier 3 year ago and didn't get round
to fitting due to moving house and various other domestic
issues. Ordered another on Friday and was sent RTC3510G.
       thanks

All good for your year have used lather and plastic, both seem
to last as about the same, leather need soakeing in oil
overnight to soften them a little. Don't forget to check the
stubaxle collar which the seal runs on, if scored replace (Part
       No 599698)

       Also check your axle breathers!
A common cause for oil getting past the oil seals is blocked
       breathers.
Oh, and I know someone who sells extended breather kits if you
       need them :rolleye0012:
       Cheers,
       Robin.
