       Hi,
This seems to be coming into effect in May next year. I haven't
       seen it mentioned here?

There is a lot to read through and watch out for the 15% power
increase meaning you'll still need to have it MOT'd

So if your running a tdi series / V8 series you will still need
an M.O.T. then as my rebuild is fitted with a tdi engine :(

       Hi,
As I understand it, that 15% is not yet written in stone.
Also, how are they going to measure the power ... and the
weight? There is no such thing as a standard weight for a Series
Land Rover, just borrow a hard top and Wolf wheels when you take
it to the weighbridge. Adjust the throttle linkage when you put
it on the rolling road. :rolleye0012:

I only found out about this today.
My MOT ran out in January. the only reason I have not taken it
for a test, is I have a rotten door top. I don't think that
would fail, but a good side gust of wind on he way might finish
it off. So I had planned to delay the MOT until I had replaced
       the door top.
As I understand it, if I just wait until 20th May, I can carry
on using it as it will then be MOT exempt so I won't waste my
       £54
Mine is the standard petrol engine so original. Would a new
galvanised chassis make it exempt from the mot exemption?
