Hi all.
I have (in the past year) bought a 1978 LWB.

I drove it from Carlisle to High Wycombe earlier on this year
and it performed wonderfully!
Sat at around 45, sometimes 50, took just 6 hours to complete
the trip. Didn't use as much fuel as I was expecting it to,
either.
But it has its' problems, and no longer has an MOT.
The things I know that will stop it passing an MOT are the
wipers and horn aren't working.
Does anyone know of a Land Rover friendly mechanic/MOT centre
than is also friendly on the wallet!?
Happy to travel a little from HP14.
Thanks in advance everyone, Stuart.

Hi,
Nice motor. The 2 faults you list sound easy enough to fix and
could be as simple as a loose fuse. If you were a bit closer
then would be happy to hop over and help sort it out but
hopefully somebody on here will be close by?

That does look like a nice one. I'm not a million miles away
from you, and I'll be happy to pop over to have a look one
evening. As far as MOT goes, I can't help you with any round
there, but there's a chap on here going by the name of NoelC who
used to work for one of your local bus companies, and I think he
may have mentioned using the place that the buses went to for
his LR MOT.
Noel?

Afternoon gents.
Thanks for the replies!
I've sorted all the lights now (numerous weren't working so just
replaced all 8 smaller ones and fixed the headlight (low output
from bulb due to bad earth)
Wipers are now working but still no horn.
Are the stalks common failure points as the horn isn't getting
any power when i press the end of the stalk.
Thanks again, Stuart.
