Testing ignition systems screened & unscreened

       Latest version.
Although originally written for problem solving in the Land
Rover screened ignition system, there is a lot of information
common to unscreened systems in other types of vehicles.
There are now sections listing a large number of Lucas coils &
how they are coded & how they are expected to perform. Also a
section on the effects of heat on coil breakdown, information
that I discovered myself that can't be found on the internet.
For those who have waded through this before the main changes
       are on pages 2, 7, 9, 26, 37, 84, 85, 89, 9O

       Hi Clive,
Thanks for that link. Even though my series is not ex-military,
I found this a fascinating read and provides a great insight
into the workings of standard 12v systems also.
I had been put off buying an ex-military Landrover due to their
extra electrical complexities, but now I'm tempted again!
       Cheers,
       Mark,
       Wellington, NZ.
