       Drive does work on friction but shouldnt really get worn.
       Id look at the cable first

       If the taper bearings in the T box wear pre load would decrease
       reducing friction on the drive, probably will be cable related
       though, now where to find a quality cable?

       Yes... Indeed, where do I find a quality cable? Lots of very
       cheap options out there, but would prefer to pay a few bob extra
       for a good one rather than replace it every few thousand
       miles... Any suggestions or which to avoid at least?

       Mine did this yesterday all of a sudden and started going funny.
       What its done is sheared the split pin in the nut for output
       flange allowing the nut to loosen slightly. To check this, chock
       your wheels, release handbrake, get underneath and see if you
       can wiggle the handbrake drum

       The does the opposite, at 25mph according to gps speedo the car
       speedo reads 30 mph.
       I just use a speed app on my hone but I am going to get a proper
       gps speedon£25 on fleabay
