Just when it was all going to plan.

Typical really, should have known better, ect. Just got my 1969
2a running sweet after refurbishing wiring loom (all new
bullets, connectors, switches and lights) as one of the last
things to do after a year long body off rebuild and getting the
heater motor to run on both speeds when I discovered no heat
coming through. Just the valve needing turned I thought(did for
a second consider that itwwas probably over ten years since it
was last turned) and yup it pissed all my lovely new antifreeze
all over engine as obviously it was the corrosion holding it
together. Guess it was just letting me know there's a wee bit
more to do until MOT time. Closed garage door and fecked off for
beer.Anyhow, can these bad boys be rebuilt as it's only leaking
through the top so presume seals? Or just splash another £20 for
       new.

88G588 is the part number for the tap, like everything I'm sure
it could be rebuilt but at under £20 it's probably not worth the
agro. Cheapest I can see is £14.75 on eBay.

Id agree with Noel, the satisfaction of putting it right will
probably cost more in parts and time than just fitting a new
       one.

Saves a lot of aggro for you in the long run, fit and forget
(till it goes wrong next time anyway).
