Hi all, has anyone recently changed the taxation class of their
       landy.
I am wondering how long it takes as I am itching to drive the
old girl, but need the tax class changed from national health
service vehicle to historic. Sent all the bits of paper well
over a week ago and heard nothing yet.
       Thanks in advance.

Did you try taxing it at the Post Office first? Now the DVLA
local offices have closed the Post Offices should be able to do
it over the counter, I recently taxed a lightweight and changed
it to historic from PLG at my local post office with no bother
       at all.

I tried the post office. They said they can only deal with PLG
and disabled tax classes now. Apparently things changed this
       year sometime.
But it's all good now, I checked after tea last night and it had
been done. So she is all on the road now.
I'm actually looking forward to the morning commute today
