What is the value of breaking an old vehicle?

Dilemma...
Thousands spent on an old series three..
The vehicle was used in the landscaping industry and is amazing
for marketing and the old gal did come in useful from time to
time!!!!!
Brand new

together with other work done.
Engine has blown up and it also did jump out of gear prior to
the engine blowing up!!
Would I get better return on investment by breaking her instead
of continuously blowing money on her (is there a market for
this)?

Keep her in one piece.
Engine & gearbox are not that serious money and a complete
vehicle is so much better to sell than the bits off it.
Everybody will want the same bits - and that leaves you with the
rest as a pile of....
Get her operational again.

Engines are easy to come by.

im in the same business as you and i use my series 3 as my load
lugger, high hedge cutting platform and daily driver and she
always gets comments from new customers and my regulars always
ask how she is. Keep it one peice as Arjan as already said if
you break it you get sell a select few bits and be left with a
husk that just gets scrapped, i know as i have done it a
regretted it afterwards.

A working Series Land Rover is one of the best marketing &
advertising tools that ever came around..
No idea why.
But like you said, when we run the Series, it turns heads
everywhere, people come and talk to you.
Make it run again.
