       Rebuild Bits Left Over

       I am just finishing a series 2a 109 year 1966 and i have a few
       bits in the bucket not fitted that i cannot place, any help
       identifying would be welcome

       Top pic looks like it goes under speedo/dashboard bit above
       steering column on S3 to keepthe birds nest of wiring inside!
       Second pic looks like it goes in drivers side of front panel
       above steering relay to keep crud out.
       Third pic no idea.

       Yep, I'd agree with Toots.
       AFAIK the idea of the plate in the second picture is to prevent
       a sudden rush of water/liquid mud/whatever other shit you drive
       through flying up and going in the horn.
       I've disembowled more series than I care to remember and don't
       recall ever seeing a captive nut plate like that in the last
       pic.

       Closest thing I can think of is one of the captive bolts that
       slot behind the tub cappings for bolting in things like seatbelt
       bars?

       Z piece of steel in bottom left of bucket fits in the steering
       wheel lower plastic cowl at dash.

       Thanks for the replies, i have the series 3 part manual but i
       cannot see the parts, anyone with an idea where they are in the
       manual so i know how to fit

       2f07 for the instrument cluster part or page 380 in pdf version
       part is 347542

       Thanks serious now found that bit, any idea of the other one??
       also i note your reference to south tyne and cumbria classics, I
       am from south of hexham, are you from this area
       edit extra
       found the other big bit, the plate with 2 bolts in is the horn
       protector that fits to the radiator panel

       laning /trialling with north east rovers club

       The Dog Bone plate with the two studs on may be for radiator to
       inner wing fixing.
