I spent some of the daylight time outside giving my new purchase
a quick clean. I forgot how cold hands get when washing a car
in cool weather. ::)

Stole half an hour or so and managed to get the driver's side
front spring off my 109". Christ, the nuts were tight though on
the bottom plate and the shackle. Spring's in good nick though
:)

actually got some motivation to get the bits I needed ... and
crashed the LR
should of stuck to ICBA - wouldn't have my LR to repair then

made a little more effort today and got the rest of the front
axle and suspension off

all stripped as i took it off, diff and swivels being changed so
it just made sense

springs were a bastard to get off, finally had no choice but to
revert to a 1mm cutting disc in me grinder >:(

I actually got around to washing and waxing my Rover P6 the
other day. But only because I was avoiding sorting out a problem
with Errindoors' Renault (alternator pulley has a clutch thing
in it, which fucks itself up after a few years, so needs an
expensive replacement done with a special tool, etc. If you
don't fix it when it gets noisy, the belt snaps, flails around,
jams and breaks the cam belt knackering the engine! WTF's wrong
with an ordinary sodding pulley FFS?)
Anyway, to find the motivation to do a moderately unpleasant
job, just get yourself an even more 'orrible one to avoid.
