Bonnet mounted spare - what threads?
By: marlin.45 Date: July 31, 2015, 9:48 am

Our ex-mil 109 has always had the mounting bracket fitted to the
bonnet to take a spare, I have just never used it. Now I want to
relocate the spare there and I haven't a clue what I need to get
hold of thread/screw wise to fit to the frame studs. Anyone
know?
I'd post a picture but the attachment function doesn't seem to
be working :smiley-furious:

Threads are 1/2" BSF I used 31/2" long but mine is clamped by a
flat aluminium bar as did not have the dog leg brackets
Bought them from Namrick

If so your bonnet has been butchered somewhat. I can't find a
close up photo of my ambulance but this gives an idea, the studs
should extend as below, the wheel is retained by a steel ring
and 3 regular wheel nuts.
