My '73 Series III 109 SW 2.5 NA Diesel build thread
By: ruseyrek Date: July 7, 2015, 6:42 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
       Hi all,
The topic says it all. But here is some info and the intended
       additions.
The car is a 1973 Series III 109 SW that started out as a 6 cyl
but lost its engine in 1990 or so in favor of a terribly noisy
Ford 4 cyl from a Transit van
I got it back in 2005 and drove it very sparingly for a while
and in 2012 pulled that Ford engine and dropped my 2.5 NA Diesel
from my Def which received a 300tdi.
Since then it ran much better but due to my negligence
overheated this winter and cracked the head. The body was in a
sad shape at the same time so I decided to do a complete
       rebuild.
I sourced parabolics, a P38 steering box for a power steering
conversion and a Fairey overdrive. These are the only upgrades
I'm planning for it. The simpler, the better. Oh, and a Webasto
heater as I intend to make this my daily driver.
       So here goes; enjoy!

It's nice to have a worthwhile project.
The pas upgrade will be the most noticeable upgrade,I did it on
       mine , love it!
Power to your elbow bud, look forward to following the thread.
