       Column bush measurement needed

       Hi,
       could someone please measure the overall length of a Series 3
       indicator cancelling/steering column bush (pic below) - mine's
       been modified and I need to get it back to its correct
       dimensions because it provides preload via a big spring onto the
       steering column top bearing.
       I've ordered one,but it doesn't look like it's going to arrive
       any time soon so I guess I'll have to alter the one I have back
       to standard size.
