       Land Rover Station Wagon badges

Before selling my beloved old SIII station wagon 'Smokey' I took
the rear badges off - it was going to be cannibalised by the new
owner so I felt it was ok ;) I dug them out yesterday and found
another set, one has the Birmingham legend and one has the
Solihull legend. I thought they were both genuine, however there
seems to be a lot of badges that are solid castings - mine are
thin metal pressings. Are the pressings type genuine LR?

Pressed ones are usu. found on the Series - although I've seen
untouched Stage Ones with solid ones so perhaps very, very late
Series may have come with solid one.
These days, LR will sell you solid ones as a replacement for the
       Series badges for serious money.

If you're not using them and they are going spare I could do
       with one for mine :toothless:

Pressed badges are genuine. No series ever had cast badges, the
ones Arjan is referring to on the last of the series models were
       solid plastic not metal.
