       i,
as many know i'm doing a rebody on a stock landrover chassis.
i've just got the v5c back and the description is shown below.
i've had someone inform me that i do not need to go the v627/1
       route.
i'm going to, to cover my arse. anyone got firsthand knowledge
       with landrovers?
all chassis and running gear will be stock, including engine,
       box, steering column etc.

       cheers chris.

Body type was not recorded by the factory so not by the DVLA
either. Whatever body you put on it, it will remain a light 4x4
utility. Even if it's a completely non-standard body. When a
vehicle has a separate chassis the body counts for nothing
       points-wise, only if it's a monocoque.
My rule of thumb is NEVER volunteer information to the DVLA.
They are, quite simply, a bunch of window licking SH><. cunts
who are utterly clueless. If you are keeping sufficient points
I'd tell them nothing, if you start that ball rolling it will
invariably end up in a world of hurt IMHO.

^ What he said !...make of the motor what you want and say
nowt... it's no concern of the dvla and you have no obligation
       to do anything, period..
