Hydraulic operated or mechanical lever clutch, whats better to li
ve with??

My Series 1 I'm building has a V8 with a series 3 box but is
running an old style lever operated clutch mechanism.
As I never had a chance to drive it before I stripped it down my
question really is how heavy is this clutch setup compared to
the later hydraulic system.
If the hydraulic system is easier/lighter/better to use then I
can modify the bulkhead to accommodate the parts required as I
havent started rebuilding the bulkhead yet.
Your comments greatly received.

I personally think the hydraulic system is better but with
series 1 getting worth lots you might not want to start cutting
things about too much

Having been playing with a series one today, leave the basic
mechanical job, less crap to go wrong, simples !

I'd leave her original but if it's a bit heavy is there a way
you can increase the leverage without altering the originality.
