       oil filler pipe breather hole.

The breather pipe on the oil filler neck is filled with a bolt.
Should I make provision for gas to escape such as a hole in the
       cap or similar?
There is a pipe from the rocker breather to the air filter
       elbow.
       Cheers for looking
       Toby

       Hi Toby,
The S3 does not need a breather from the oil filler pipe to the
air filter. I understand that these were sometimes fitted to
worn engines to vent some crankcase pressure, but given the
filler cap in vented, I can't quite see how it would help.
If the engine is running fine, I'd leave it be and if the engine
is not running well, an oil filler breather pipe wont make a
       difference.
       Cheers,
       Mark, NZ.

i agree if you have the orange oil filler cap, then separate
black mushroom breather going to the carb, then thats correct
       spec and doesnt need "upgrading"
make sure the mesh filter inside mushroom is clear though, i
usually take it off and swill petrol inside it
