       S3 10" - fitting brake shoes
By: jessejazza Date: May 2, 2015, 10:00 am

Just doing the brake shoes and wondering if I've got the wrong
technique or if they are a pig to fit. The bottom spring seems
very tight - got it off with screwdriver and got new for
       replacement.
With Triumphs I've had I have always fitted the springs first,
placed over the hub and then pulled apart to fit into location.
With this SWB I seem to be missing the point somehow. The bottom
pivot being circular requires a different method.

Just fitted new to my fronts couple of weeks ago , as you say
spring on lower fitted from back , then get one in place on
pivot and pull other one till it enters .
A screwdriver might help locate it.

Thanks - quite easy in fact compared with some. Getting them off
it seems is best just knocking the non-pivot shoe back and
outwards with a screwdriver blade. Now it looks like I've got to
replace the seal behind as some oil has seeped out. H :haha:appy
bank holiday w/e working on a landy :smilewide: - many of
       those to come no doubt.
