Defender seats in truck cab ?

Evening
Sorry for the mention of Defender..
My tilt is now due for chucking as it has finally rotted. They
are too much money to replace in my opinion.
I fancy, after I reckon 25 years without one, going back to a
truck cab. Will this interfere too much with my defender seats
or in a 88 will it not make that much difference?

Shouldn't matter considering the bulkhead behind the seats in an
88" is forward of the rear bit of the cab.

i do have the later type seats in my 109 and pick up depends on
size of your legs and how you shift the seat back i like driving
in the seat in about 90 degrees adjustment and the head rest
rubs abit with the parts of the pick up. not much movement in
them really. but they are good seats and look like a proper item
;)

I've got a slightly allied question for the brain trust. I'd
like to just attach some seat backs to the bulkhead and keep the
bottom seat cushions. Mostly I'd like to have some shoulder and
head support should there be an accident. So what seat backs
would fit and not look too out of place on a lightweight?

...they're just thin external ply with a thin foam over, covered
with vinyl stretched and stapled on.....I used 3 m6 bolts fitted
through from the inside of the ply (with the heads captive in
the wood), pushed through holes in the bulkhead and fixed with
wing-nuts to make them easily removable if required.

Got the seats in. They don't seem much more cramped than in the
soft top.

I've just fitted a pair of defender seats in my 109SW
I didn't realise that they actually used all the original
mounting holes. easy peasy
