Steering wheels...

My Landy has a later 11a/3 steering wheel.
I'm tempted to fit an early wire sprung spoked job. Is this
easily done? Or do I need to change column top, etc.
Sorry it's a remedial question. Trying to ascertain if its a
waste of time...

They are not interchangeable. The inner steering column is
different.

the series 2a / 3 wheel is a spline with nut - within the horn
gubbins in the centre and a wire series 2 has splines, but has a
pinch nut and bolt behind the wheel Also different diameter.
Would need to change the box / column

The later wheel was fitted as early as April 1966. What year is
your motor?

'E' suffix, so definitely too young...
