What would have been original on my SIIA 109

I have a late SIIA 109 6cyl, registered as a 1973 so very close
to being a SIII
What I want to know is what kind of door hinges would it have
had originally? It has had some series 3 doors put on it so
currently has s3 hinges.
Also what kind of key ignition would it have had straight key
start or on/off key and a push button start?
Any help/advice would be great!!!!!

Series 3 are registered from September '71 so yours is either an
S3 or a late registered 2a eg ex Mod.
Put some pics up.
Here's what my 6 pot 2a looks like inside. Key start.

It's definetly a 2a have checked that on serial number, being in
New Zealand we got the models a bit later, my one was a CKD
model exported. Was registered in feb 1973, so would have old
stock on the lot I guess. It's in bits at the moment but I will
find some pics. The 6cyl engine is long gone so I'm not sure
what else they changed.

Mine has lost its engine too. Currently running a perkins 4203
lump with a series 3 gearbox and salisbury rear axle. The
bodywork and interior is unchanged though so if you need
pictures of anything just shout. Is yours a station wagon?

Mine has series 2 hinges and yours should have too, being a nice
late 2a. Mine is slightly earlier with inboard headlights.
The door ties on the s3 doors will be the wrong way round for
the bulkhead.
It certainly has a 2a bulkhead although it's hard to tell if
it's a six pot bulkhead without seeing the inside view.
The fuel tank in the rear and brake servo are in keeping with a
2a six pot. Does it still have the 3 inch wide front brake
drums? Is the electric fuel pump still there?

Has 11" drums all round with 3"wide fronts, boosted brakes.
Definetly the 6cyl bulkhead ( gearbox housing slopes back into
the cabin) I had to make some bits up to make the door stops
work to stop door opening fully. I had a set of good s2 style
door hinges so think I will put them on.
Electric fuel pump is long gone, was converted to a diesel I
intend to put a 6cyl 2.8 diesel back into it.

Interestingly mine has what looks like a larger style rover rear
diff? I thought the late 2a were fitted with saulsbury. I do
have a saulsbury to fit though.

Could it be an ENV diff that someone in the past has fitted?
The rear light set-up is correct, not sure about the reflectors?
The front grille is correct - late 2A. The hinges are the
wrongly fitted series 3 type, Should be series 2 knuckles with
the little bronze ball in them.

I can take a pic of the rear diff when im home, which diff is
better?
