Hi all,
Bought a '72 Series 3 109" back in November, formerly owned by
RMS on here if my spying is correct.
My first Land Rover, run a mk1 MX5 as a daily, bought the landy
to be a large useful workhorse/biking vehicle.
A picture from the day I picked it up:

Since then, i've done only about 600 miles in it, mostly due to
the radiator bursting and some overheating occurring. Rad
recored now though and it's running ok, did 150 last weekend
going over the peak district without missing a beat. Currently
running a Perkins Prima as well.
Plans at the moment are to fix a few annoying problems, namely
the front right drum grabbing badly on occasion, awful
headlights, rotten headlight rings, no heater, rotten heater
box, no left indicators, awful wiring, completely useless temp
and fuel gauges and very solid leaf springs.......etc. Enough to
keep me busy for a while, wish me luck!

Welcome along bud.
Give them spring some WD40, I did mine, made no end of
difference,almost COMFORTABLE !
Obviously this won't work if they have rust-welded themselves
together. :smilewide:
