       Hi all
my 1975 2.25 diesel will not start. it turns over and over is
kicking blue smoke out whilst doing so but will not fire up.
It's been playing up for a while, taking ages to start, but
eventually starts, rest of the day fired up no probs, but now
will not fire up at all. battery fully charged, fuel tank full,
I have primed fuel system, in case air pocket was causing
problem, but still no joy. Had a similar issue with an old
Peugeot, I used to have, that ended up being faulty heater
plugs, thinking this could be same issue, any one got any ideas.
       cheers
       carl

sounds heater plug related to me :-?
as much as i hate to say it - have you tried easy start ?
if it starts ok on that its probably heater plugs :rolleye0012:
could be the pump timing - i doubt it but you never know

Have you checked the plugs, given that 1 failing take the whole
lots out of a series diesel. That's the first place I'd look for
       starting issues
