Garp, the 1980 Series 3
By: FatArseAussie Date: December 10, 2014, 7:01 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
V8 powered with a Holley carb (soon to be rejetted) Garp has
been on the road now for 22 months. Before that, it was last
registered in 1989 and had been used, basically, as a farm hack.
I am still finding bullet holes in strange places.
Garp was pretty much my daily driver up until Christmas 2013/14
when summer heat had me reaching for the air-conditioned comfort
of the Disco.
Straight after to oppressive heat of summer, Garp was back as
the daily driver.
Garps owner is a cranky old public servant in Canberra -
ex-kiwi, married to an Aussie, her kids all gone and our ties to
home are 3 small dogs who mean more to us than a lot of people
Well, a lot of the people around here (Canberra)...
So... that's me and Garp. Any questions, feel free to ask.

Edlebrock (sp) modified manifold for the Holley. Mate, at the
pace this thing sucks fuel, doing the 'go-fast air con' is not
an option - besides - when it is over 40 degrees C, even going
fast only gives you a hot stream of air in the cab...
Took it (and the missus) camping a couple of months ago - I'll
see if I can find some pics.
