But remember, when your battery is fixed you can just pop out
anywhere, anytime, the bus can't and have to wait in all
weathers for th'buzz, and sit with benefit thieves, smelly cunts
       and old people........
       Gloat at leisure.....

Reminds me a little of when my son & I restored a 1963 Piaggio
Ape so he could use it to get to college.
From our village it's only 9 miles, but it means two buses and
over an hour each way, but he was wary of being 'laughed at'!
Turns out to be one of the best things we did - True, some of
his peers did take the mick...... until the weather turned and
he was zooming past everyone else waiting at the bus stops in
the cold, rain and snow :smilewide:
It only took 20 minutes so saved a whole load of time, and it
       probably worked out cheaper!
It also put him on the road at 16 in something safer than a
scooter, and I managed to pass on loads of my skills and
experience to him while restoring it.
The Principle of the college drove a 1960s MG he had restored,
so they often used to chat about their vehicles, giving Patrick
       a bit of kudos.
He could also park with the scooters and mopeds right next to
the college building, but arrived dry and warm when his peers
were peeling off their waterproofs and trying to warm up their
       hands.
Here it is next to his first Land Rover.

Yes mine's a petrol, and it turns over and starts quite easily
on the handle. Prime the fuel pump first if it's stood a while.
and yes I was using the handle to start the motor, not to "sort
       out" the crowd.
