Brake set up

Could someone confirm that this is set up right for the nearside
front. I know the springs havent been fixed yet.
Reason for the question is that on some suppliers websites when
I was looking for pictures they seem to have the backplates
transposed i.e a picture of a right hand backplate for a left
hand part number.

the springs go behind the shoe and want fitting before they
locate into the cylinders

Thanks Hippydave.
The general set up shown is correct for the N/S though? with the
O/S having the snail cams at roughly 8 and 2 on a clockface with
the cylinders top and bottom.

i dont set my cams until the drum is fitted and then i set them
till they lock the drum and them back them off one notch.

I’m confident that is indeed a N/S plate assembly. My reasoning
is (without going and checking) self servo action occurs when
the shoe is pushed out with the rotation of the drum, so top
cylinder facing forward, and lower facing backwards would create
that effect.

Looks ok for the LH front (from driving seat) - not got a
diagram to hand, but looks familiar
