finally some engine assembly work done.
  HTML http://up.picr.de/26711512ih.jpg
conrods weighed and no2 is a problem.... :finger:
  HTML http://up.picr.de/26711513cp.jpg
       fan assembled and balanced
  HTML http://up.picr.de/26711514vi.jpg
       carb dismantled and cleaned.

exhaust manifold back from ceramic coating - nice! :smilewide:

prep work for rocker mounts (clean, check, assemble loosely on
       workbench)
  HTML http://up.picr.de/26711685xv.jpg
camshaft endfloat set and cam wheel assembled
  HTML http://up.picr.de/26711686ep.jpg
put the P to the key of the camshaft, put the securing locker
nose 180 degs in the opposite (balance is everything!) :giddy:
torque down bolt and end up with bolt flanks exactly where
       locker flaps are.

trial fitting of oil filler (military, toastie "Rover 8" type
       with generator bracket)
  HTML http://up.picr.de/26711688ry.jpg
again, just because its so nice and shiny black.
Now only need to find the fule pump mounting plate in black
powder coated - its in that "safe corner" all workshops seem to
       have.
You only find the stuff you put there after you had replacements
installed because the "safe corner" stuff is gone ...
       :smiley-furious:

       Hi,
       I don't like him either. :smile1
It reminds me of a cartoon in an MG Club magazine. On a garage
shelf, there were five small gas bottles, labelled .... NS front
tyre ... OS front tyre ...

       Darren, yes gramms.
Bloody No 2 has a totally dofferent weight distribution compared
to the other three, while being ok in total weight.
I do have a second set now, where number 4 is a problem. Same
problem, shaft and shell totally different from rest but in
       total ok. Funny. Or not.
The clampy things are calles "clecos" and are used in aircraft
       riveting jobs.
       Cheap(ish) at ebay USA
  HTML http://www.ebay.com/itm/K-SERIES-MASTER-CLECO-SHEET-METAL-FASTENER-KIT-K1MSTR-/252510507952?hash=item3acacc93b0:g:eNkAAOSwBahU9jJO
Different colours means different hole sizes. You can get clamps
       as well.
       602. - that "Save place" must be an invention of parents or
women.... Not men cave inhabitants for sure.

Found two NOS stes of Ae Hepolite pistons. Down in Harare, but
at last proper stuff in 020 os.
Had them brought up form Africa and finally got a good set out
of the two packs. One was different make, one is broken, one had
       bad rings (rusted up).
Still need to adjust weight but those are close enough and I
feel much better using them instead of the Britpart ones.

Still takes me wonder on how far I will go with all this...
       hahahahaha.
Having pistons from Africa just for the sake of NOS is a bit far
       admittetly..... :-)
I live it though! This stuff is out there,
