Electrikkery - Series III wiring woes

Hi all, having a few issues with the wiring on my 88.......
when I got it almost 2 yrs ago the indicator stalk failed, no
issues bought another 'cheap one' and fitted it, all ok till
about 2 week ago when I noticed that my 'flash' main beam
stopped working, ignored as not too well presently until last
Cpl of nights ago I also spotted that the hadzzards had also
stopped working.
Feeling a bit better today I thought I would investigate, no
blown fuses ( from wiring diag doesn't seem fused )??? obv they
don't go through the ignition as they work when switched off so
took it all apart, checked terminals and plug connectors and
the like and still nothing so re assembled everything and lo
and behold they now work
Im the kind of guy that's still not happy as I havnt found the
'fault' any ideas ? :smiley-furious:

Probably just loose/old connections.
Usually happens to me just before the MOT :smiley-furious:, I
lost my screenwash pump, and horn last time, I cleaned
terminals, checked earths and generally fiddled about, and they
worked again.

I've got the ceramic old fuses twisting these usually clears my
problems but also think bad earths cause most of mine

Damm annoying though.. as I hate it when you don't really 'find
the fault' think it may be wise to take all the connectors off
and give them a smearing of electrolube...

Hazards/indicators is probably the contacts on the hazard
switch. They corrode, and stop everything working (the
indicators are switched trough the hazard switch). Just
operating the switch is usually enough to clean them up
Main beam will probably be bent contacts, on the switch, they
seem to do that over time
