its a real shame to see it like that. somebody should clear it
and run a few specials on it. Hope they get to save the line.

I did the line a few times each way in the late 70's and early
80's on the boat train to connect onto the Sealink ferry to the
Channel Islands as we used to camp in Guernsey with the Scouts.

Carriers lorry about a week before we got there and was sent to
Weymouth in a wagon in a freight train.
It finally got back to Oxford about 2 weeks after we did.

That train was the one that took me to a big international scout
jamboree many moons ago was on Jersey.
