Hi, I used to be a shock absorber development engineer working
for Armstrong, Monroe & Woodhead shocks. I’ve worked on several
different Land Rover projects inc 38A, Tempest, Wolf and Pulse.
Starting 29 yrs ago, I used to develop prototype high tech
suspensions systems, hydraulic levelling with computer
controlled adaptive damping systems for the Classic Range Rover
and other vehicles.
I currently develop a completely different type of suspension
system for the subsea oil & gas industry. There are a number of
Land Rover owners at work inc a 1971 series 2a & 1973 series 3.
I’ve owned my Landy for 3 years; we’ve been to the LATP 2012 &
2013 but missed this year’s event. My Landy is an old tatty
blue SWB station wagon, a long term project still being run on
skinny 600x16 tyres.
