exhaust options

My swb exhaust is blowing and I've got feck all power. I've got
a 2.5 N/A and want to put in a TDI. Obviously I don't want to
buy 2 exhausts in quick succession, I would like to replace it
with something more free flowing that doesn't strangle the TDI.
Any suggestions?

I've looked at the various exhaust options from Steve Parkers
from the left hooker lightweight and he does a selection. It
might be worth asking if the N/A and Tdi systems he sells are
the same mid-pipe back, and you could get a front pipe to suit
each application?

Steve Parker is fine as long as you have your original chassis.
Galv chassis? Forget it as it won't fit.

i have a galv chassis from Marsland and the Steve Parker fits
just fine, just like the original chassis.

109 or 88? I had an interesting chat with him on the phone
yesterday, and he was saying that he has sold loads of 88"
exhaust systems with no issue, but with the 109 the variance of
aftermarket galv chassis etc has caused issues for a fair few
customers now.

I had a custom exhaust made up when I had a perkins prima
fitted, had it fabed out of 2.5" bore stainless, from the rear
to midway was as per normal but put a slip joint under the
passenger foot well so when the change came to tdi I only had to
make a new front section.
When the swap was made I managed to reuse the prima front
section to make the new part.
Maybe look into getting a custom exhaust made up that way you
get exactly what you want.
