The last test I went to with the lightweight at one of the big
boys the brake lights packed up on the test. Matey came out and
said you've got 10 mins to fix it, which i did. Clean sheet.

Funny enough mine had it's MOT this morning and the brake lights
didn't work. 5 minute fix. My tester couldn't believe how easy
it was to get to the brake light switch compared to most modern
       cars.
But I wasn't given a time limit. There's so many things that are
not tested on our old Landy's that it never takes anywhere near
the allocated 1 hour slot, so plenty of time to tinker if
       somethings not right.
And I always like to have a look under my vehicles when they go
up on the hoist. another advantage of a local garage, I'm not
ushered off to the waiting room, I can stay and watch closely.

Ditto, Halfords at both locations I use don't mind if I have a
nose when it's up on the lift. I suppose it may have a bearing
on what it is, i.e. if you own a series you can't really be a
eurobox driving numpty I suppose. ;-) The trouble is, one of the
branches I use has a fit as fuck twenty-something girl on
reception. Always in Olivia Newton-John "Grease" style sprayed
on black strides with an awesome arse. I tend to migrate to
       reception... :rolleye0012:

that way even if it fails its test the trip has been worthwhile
       ;)
