       Dave's Travels
   DIR By: Dave
       Date: January 30, 2012, 10:35 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Whilst out and about at work I spot series motors and, if I can,
I take pics. Here are some from the old thread and new ones will
       be added as and when...
May 2011. Woodall's garage in Hemsworth, West Yorks.
  HTML http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l5/soddit36/DSC00581.jpg
June 2011. A 1959 S2 in the yard of a printing company that is
run from a private house in Horbury. I like that numberplate!
  HTML http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l5/soddit36/DSC00598.jpg
And this thing was spotted just south of Junction 10 of the M1,
whilst on my way home from that London the same week.
  HTML http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l5/soddit36/DSC00599.jpg
       I think it's an ex-mil series 2a.
       June 2011, Mossley.
  HTML http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l5/soddit36/DSC00614.jpg
July 2011. For sale at the side of the A58 Halifax Road at
       Hipperholme.
  HTML http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l5/soddit36/DSC00642.jpg
Sign in the windscreen claimed it to be one of the last series
3s. Not on an X-plate, I doubt it very much.
Parked in Albert Street, Lockwood, Hudds.
  HTML http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l5/soddit36/DSC00641.jpg
       Normanton, July 2011.
  HTML http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l5/soddit36/DSC00647.jpg
August 2011. At the back of a haulage yard off the Gelderd Road,
       Birstall.
  HTML http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l5/soddit36/DSC00660.jpg
Looks like a bitsa. Series 2 bulkhead, series 3 grille but FFR
ariel boxes on the wings? Why would they have an FFR ambulance?
       :?
August 2011. Hadfield, NW Derbys. (where The League of Gentlemen
was filmed, or so I'm led to understand)
  HTML http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l5/soddit36/DSC00675.jpg
And not a hundred yards further up the road...
  HTML http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l5/soddit36/DSC00676.jpg
       August 2011. Knottingley.
  HTML http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l5/soddit36/DSC00678.jpg
September 2011. Beside the A472 near Radyr, Gwent.
  HTML http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l5/soddit36/DSC00758.jpg
       Local reg. too.
October 2011. In the High Street, A168, Northallerton.
  HTML http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l5/soddit36/DSC00771.jpg
And on the same day, a bit further south on the A168.
  HTML http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l5/soddit36/DSC00772.jpg
October 2011. On the way to London, southbound M1, jct. 11.
M-reg and with painted cappings, gay wheels and plastic spats.
  HTML http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l5/soddit36/DSC00797.jpg
       October 2011. Tingley.
