Plastic Air Line

Anyone know what the plastic air line that is used on industrial
robot systems and the like is actually made of.
I've just taken a metal pipe from a diesel filter to work for a
trial fit.
This stuff is a dead ringer for the nylon fuel line fitted to my
88.
Even feels the same when you push it over a union.
And I've just spotted a coil of black stuff.

Does it not have a product code moulded ot printed on the side?

There is some nylon lines and polyurethane lines used for
different things, too.

Any use as diesel fuel line?
Or will it slowly dissolve and dump the fuel all over the road?

Ideally you want to use PFA / Teflon tubing for fuel lines
whether it is for petrol or diesel. Fit and forget

Well a quick bit of gooooooooooooogling got me a polyurethane
resistance chart..

Looks like it will slowly dissolve and dump your go go juice
everywhere..

Thanks for that.
Probably saved me half a tank of diesel there and a whole lot of
swearing.
I'm going to track down some Teflon stuff in the long term.
It's turned out that it's my lift pump which is fucked not the
lines so no rush now.
