Tow vehicle in S. Lakes

Hello!
Some people on here might remember me.....if you haven't all
been sniffing the brake fluid too much. I used to own a 109
until sensibleness got in the way.
I'm sorry if it's too cheeky of me to ask on here...having been
absent for a while, but I'm looking to borrow (hire) something
to tow a boat with next weekend (28/9). I'm in the South Lakes
area, Ulverston to be exact and need to collect a new (to us)
boat from Windermere and take it to Coniston....and posibly
bring my dad's boat back from coniston too.
Previously, I've asked contacts locally but they all seem to
have changed from coilers[cough....I'm sorry for swearing] to
volvos recently :banghead and I find myself short of a tow car.
renting something suitable is a lot of money and I'd rather not
have to.
So, does anybody know any cheap places around here that such a
thing could be borrowed or hired? If borrow then I'd buy full
insurance, diesel etc and have a full clean licence.
Sorry to come back at you as if from the grave like this but I
know what splendid, wonderful, decent...etc...chaps you all are.

Thanks. I ended up borrowing a big gay Japanese boingy in the
end.
