Not sure how I didnt discover this forum before, but a hello to
all.
Am on my second series 3 an 1981 ex Navy swb truck. I now
understand why there is so much landy talk, my first one a 1983
swb got written off in a head on with a BMW coupe on a Devon
lane. I drove home he certainly didnt. That truck never missed a
beat nothing went wrong on it, I never had to spend any time
other than a service and topping up
fluids..............................................
This is probably an all to familiar story but I found the new
one languishing in a LR yard and had it put on the road. Ever
since it has been a very demanding creature. My friend bought a
truck which had a sadly knackered engine, so as mine was having
the bulkhead replaced with a less rotten one i thought, I know
lets fit a newer engine, let my mate have the old one. So ever
since, I have been swapping and selling bits from my old one
(bought off insurers) trying to get down to just one Landy that
works well. Not quite there yet.
Almost bought some parabolics and then discovered in reading on
this and other forums that all may not be as rosy..............
Oh and I need to stop the Kangarooing on the throttle of the new
engine..
Anyway, having fun, skinning knuckles and getting greasy.
:smiley-furious:

it seems you had the unusual and now you have the usual, it must
be strange doing it that way round. in fact what you describe
only happens in dreams...
