Dreaded DVLA!

Ok advice really needed here due to a severe SH><. loss of
sense of humour with the DVLA!
Some dim cunt when registering my 109 on de mob in 2000 put the
wrong number on the log book. I think it looks like they went by
the seat box military plate, not my chassis stamp and Leyland
plate which have matching numbers but different to the papers
and military plate.
Like a fool I asked the DVLA to change the number on the log
book to match, oh how much trouble have I caused! :banghead
:smiley-furious:
Now talk of a q plate :finger: Can I or should I just try and
register it as a new truck as the real chassis number has never
been on the road?
Anybody else has a similar problem? I just want it on the road
now after 9 months of rebuilding it.....

What series is it, I'd suggest contacting the relevant owners
club as DVlA work with them, so they can probably help you
through sorting it out
I presume S3 club doe this. S1 and S2 clubs do

Take a look at the Ex Military Land Rover Association.
This sort of thing is probably pretty common for them.
They can probably point you towards the best place for a dating
cert too

its a 3. sadly no club as such for the poor old s3.

There was/is at least two clubs for series three owners.
The one groups them with Boingies too :gay:
Totally :wanker:
Better off with the OLLR :thumbs:

Exmill association I believe work with DVlA so probably a good
move contacting them

You can a get a heritage certificate from the motor museum. bout
£40 but it'll give you a date of manufacture recognised by DVLA
...they accept them for tax exempt status anyway
