I don't think you'll find "most normal people" lurking on these
forums.
Some of us have a tax exempt vehicle for every day of the week.
I just wish that I was one of them.
As for the lurking boingy brigade that I referred to in my OP,
no sign of them lately.
Since my project has started to take shape, and it's obvious
that I'm building up the vehicle, not stripping it, they've all
just vanished.
This confirms my suspicions that they were looking for a tax
exempt vehicle at rock bottom money.

Very true. In the past a tax exempt series has been my daily
driver, for me it depends on mileage. Currently doing 63 a day
so am in a gay boingy. If it were less the gay boingy would
probably find itself on eBay.

I did Telford to Norfolk and back in one day in a diesel IIA
And again a couple of weeks later.
Found it surprisingly stress free TBH, probably because I wasn't
trying to keep to any particular deadline.
Would I do 63 miles a day comuting in it ?
Yes but that's probably getting close to the limit.
I'd have to alter my lifestyle to give me more of a safety
margin on my traveling time, something which sounds easy but
probably isn't.
